The Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) sector made steady progress in October 2024, supported by new supply agreements, feedstock developments, and international collaborations. The Minnesota SAF Hub, DB Schenker, and Kuwait’s Burgan Bank strengthened supply and logistics efforts, while the International Civil Aviation Organization and the International Renewable Energy Agency agreed to collaborate on accelerating SAF financing and deployment.
New regional initiatives also took shape across Asia, Europe, and North America, with Japan Airlines, NEXTCHEM, and Diamond Green Diesel driving new production and circular feedstock projects. Cepsa, Crysalis Biosciences, and Norsk e-Fuel advanced facility expansion and e-fuel development, underscoring continued global alignment toward scalable SAF adoption.
