Here are the latest highlights from ADI’s SAF Tracker:

  • Montana Renewables advanced the next phase of its MaxSAF 150 expansion, targeting an increase in SAF production from 150 mgpy to ~200 mgpy by 2028.
  • ADM announced plans to expand North American oilseed crushing capacity by ~700,000 mtpa across four facilities, supporting growing demand for renewable fuel feedstocks for SAF and renewable diesel (RD) production.
  • Infinium delivered the first batch of eSAF produced from waste CO2 and renewable electricity for use on an American Airlines passenger flight.
  • Lydian secured $43 million in Series A funding led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures to launch its PIVOT™ modular power-to-liquid (PtL) platform for SAF production.
  • Veri Energy secured ~$1.02 million from the Scottish Government to support Phase 3 of its e-fuels hub at Sullom Voe Terminal, with the hub expected to produce hydrogen and e-methanol from 2030 for potential use in a proposed SAF plant in Grangemouth.
  • Brazil issued regulations for its ProBioQAV SAF program, requiring domestic airlines to achieve a 1% GHG emissions reduction in 2027, increasing to 10% by 2037, while allowing book and claim accounting for SAF environmental attributes.
