Following a challenging 2023 characterized by inflationary pressures and subdued demand, the global chemical industry is projected to maintain a stable, yet stagnant, trajectory in 2024.

The C&EN has announced their Global Top 50 chemical firms for 2023, and many of them have invested into sustainability projects. These projects include initiatives to decarbonize energy and to improve current recycling capabilities.
