Here are the latest highlights from ADI’s SAF Tracker:

  • Deutsche Bank signed an agreement with Lufthansa Group to invest in the deployment of SAF certificates equivalent to 530,000 gallons of SAF to reduce emissions from its business travel.
  • Green Sky Capital partnered with Axens to develop a 66 mgpy SAF production facility in Egypt, with commercial operations targeted by the end of 2027.
  • VAROPreem acquired Sunpine, securing access to ~400,000 metric tons per annum (mtpa) of renewable feedstock for its hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) and SAF plants in Sweden.
  • ASTM International certified the MTJ pathway for SAF production, enabling commercial production of SAF from biomethanol and e-methanol.
  • Moeve and Exolum secured ~$122 million in project financing to develop the Muelle Sur logistics hub to support feedstock import and renewable fuel export for Moeve’s biofuels plant in Spain.
  • The Indonesian government announced plans to implement a 1% SAF blending requirement for international flights starting in 2027, with a phased roadmap targeting a 30–50% SAF blend by 2060.
