Global progress on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) advanced in September 2025, marked by new national initiatives, infrastructure projects, and funding commitments. Korean Air expanded SAF use across key routes, while Australia launched a major Cleaner Fuels Program and Hong Kong unveiled plans for a SAF blending facility.
Momentum also grew around technology development and financing. LanzaJet and KazMunayGas progressed Kazakhstan’s first SAF project to the FEED stage, while Eni advanced refinery conversion efforts in Italy. Companies, including Catagen, OXCCU, and GPS Renewables, introduced new SAF pathways and secured funding to scale commercialization, reflecting innovation and investment momentum across the sector.
