Global adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) gained traction in August 2025, supported by new offtake agreements and government initiatives. Airlines such as Air India signed long-term purchase agreements, while Japan and Australia progressed through new freight partnerships and pre-FEED project milestones.

Rising investments and technology innovations continued across the sector. China National Aviation Fuel Company expanded its SAF portfolio with new investments in domestic producers, while companies including Circularity Fuels and Sekisui Chemical advanced new e-SAF production pathways. Government efforts in India and Japan further signaled growing regional commitment to decarbonizing aviation.
