Global momentum for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) advanced further in August 2024, supported by new corporate alliances, technology deployment, and large-scale production plans. Amazon joined the SAF Coalition, strengthening industry collaboration, while Repsol and Iberia partnered with Inditex to expand SAF use across aviation networks.
Technological progress and regional expansion continued to accelerate. Honeywell and Repsol partnered to commercialize advanced SAF technologies, while Masdar and TotalEnergies explored e-SAF production. New initiatives from DG Fuels, EcoCeres, and Gunvor–Varo Energy demonstrated growing production capacity in the SAF industry’s long-term trajectory.
