In May 2024, SAF adoption continued through airline purchases, corporate agreements, airport availability, project development, and technology advancements

  • Singapore Airlines Group announced the purchase of ~330,000 gallons of SAF from Neste.
  • Boston Consulting Group (BCG) announced it has signed an agreement for the purchase of SAFc with World Energy.
  • Alaska Airlines has introduced a new incentive for passengers to support SAF use.
  • Tidewater Renewables announced it has made significant progress on the front-end engineering design (FEED) for its proposed ~100 million gallons per year SAF project.
  • Cemtiva announced it has tested their bioprocess technology, achieving high-yield extraction of oil from the bioreactor.
  • London’s Oxford Airport in the U.K. announced it has started selling SAF, providing airlines with blends of 30% and 10% SAF.
  • Kent announced it has been awarded the FEED contract for Fulcrum’s NorthPoint project.
