- Southwest Airlines has acquired SAFFire Renewables, an ethanol-to-jet SAF producer, as part of its sustainability commitment.
- ABB and Cap Clean Energy signed an agreement to collaborate on SAF production facilities across the Canadian provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.
- Neste announced a partnership with Emirates to supply ~2 million gallons of SAF to the Schiphol Airport through 2024.
- Ryanair announced it has purchased ~330,000 gallons of SAF from Shell, which will be supplied at the airlines’ base at Stansted Airport in London.
- ENEOS and Revo International, a Japan-based biodiesel producer, plan to boost used cooking oil collection to produce biodiesel and SAF, targeting an annual collection of ~237,000 gallons of used cooking oil per year.
- LanzaTech has received approval to establish a SAF facility on a former-industrial site at Crown Wharf in the U.K., with construction set to start this winter and production scheduled to begin in 2026.
- TotalEnergies and Sinopec have signed a Heads of Agreement (HoA) to develop a SAF production unit at Sinopec’s refinery in China.
- Aemetis announced that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has approved a $200 million investment through the EB-5 program for the Riverbank SAF production plant in California.
