Global Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) expansion in February 2024 was supported by new collaborations, large-scale purchase agreements, and technological innovation across the aviation sector. Ampaire completed its first 100% SAF ground test, while the International Airlines Group (IAG) secured a e-SAF purchase deal with Twelve, strengthening long-term supply commitments.
Corporate and production partnerships continued to grow, with Dimerco Express Group joining Cathay Pacific’s SAF programme and Rayonier Advanced Materials exploring e-SAF development with Verso Energy. New project and supply milestones from OMV, Ryanair, Airbus, and TotalEnergies, along with a joint facility initiative by Southwest Airlines and LanzaJet, highlighted rising global investment and industry confidence in SAF deployment.
