Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) progress in October 2023 advanced through new partnerships, facility launches, and regulatory developments. DHL Express and World Energy signed a SAF supply agreement, while Velocys launched a technology facility to support catalyst manufacturing and process optimization.

Testing and production efforts continued to expand globally. Emirates partnered with Neste for additional SAF supply, Honeywell and Rolls-Royce completed 100% SAF engine tests, and Garuda Indonesia operated its first commercial flight powered by palm oil–derived SAF.
