- Israel-based El Al Airlines completed its first SAF delivery flight, departing from Boeing’s Everett facility in Washington to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport.
- Lufthansa Group announced a partnership with HCS Group for SAF production and supply.
- Shandong Haike Chemical, a Chinese refining and petrochemical company, selected Axen’s Vegan technology to produce SAF.
- Swedish Biofuels’ alcohol-to-jet synthetic paraffinic kerosene with aromatics (ATJ-SKA) is anticipated to receive ASTM approval for blending up to 50% during this quarter.
- Gevo announced that its Net-Zero 1 project has progressed to the due diligence and term sheet negotiation phase with a $950 million loan guarantee under the Title 17 Clean Energy Financing Program.
- Sumitomo Corporation has signed an agreement with Axens and Allotrope Partners to study the feasibility of woody biomass-based bioethanol production in California.
- Google teamed up with American Express Global Travel and Shell Aviation in its SAF program to help finance aviation’s transition to net zero. The program also includes other partners as Aon, Bank of America, Delta Cathay Pacific, JetBlue, and Japan Airlines.
