  • LanzaJet and LanzaTech were selected to participate in the second stage of the study to evaluate feasibility and profitability of SAF production in New Zealand.
  • Bank of America became the first financial institution to join American Express Global Business Travel and Shell Aviation’s SAF program which offers 1 million gallons of SAF annually for corporate customers.
  • Japan Airlines announced its plan to procure SAF for its jet fuel requirements at Los Angeles International Airport starting in 2025.
  • Lufthansa Cargo and Nippon Express Europe agreed to jointly promote SAF use in airfreight transportation.
  • Holcim, IFPEN, Axens, and EDF signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development of a pilot e-SAF production facility in Pays de la Loire, France.
  • TotalEnergies set a target to produce 495 million gallons of SAF per year by 2030.

  • The Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry announced a $350 million investment in the Initiative for Sustainable Aviation Technology (INSAT) to accelerate the green industrial transformation in the country’s aerospace industry.
  • LATAM Airlines is considering issuing a “green bond” as part of its sustainability strategy.
  • France committed to an investment of $218 million to support SAF production and promote greener practices in the French and larger European aviation industry.
