  • State Grid Space Technology conducted its inaugural helicopter flight using 40% SAF in China.
  • OXXCU raised $22.7 million in funding to scale up its technology that converts carbon dioxide and hydrogen into SAF.
  • Boeing announced a partnership with Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) to study SAF production in southeast Asia.
  • Navigator Terminals and Alfanar announced a partnership to conduct a front-end-engineering-design (FEED) study for U.K.’s first SAF handling terminal.
  • Air Canada implemented SAF produced by Neste for its inaugural Montreal-to-Amsterdam flight.
  • Cargolux operated a flight from Luxembourg to Zhenzhou using SAF provided by Neste in partnership with NATOs Central European Pipeline System (CEPS) and World Fuel Services.
  • TotalEnergies announced doubling the production of SAF at its Grandpuits biorefinery in France, resulting in an increased annual capacity of 94 million gallons.
  • Volaris, an ultra-low-cost Mexican carrier, joined a $50 million investment agreement to accelerate SAF production through CleanJoule.
  • The U.K. issued a proposed rule requiring the blending of SAF into aircraft starting in 2025.
