- Montana Renewables, a subsidiary of Calumet Specialty Products Partners, completed its SAF production and pretreatment units.
- Raven SR and Cap Clean Energy signed an MoU to develop biofuels facilities in Canada.
- Mubadala Capital’s energy company Acelen will invest $2.5 billion to build a SAF plant in the northeastern part of Brazil.
- Braya Renewable Fuels announced a $300 million investment to convert its Come by Chance refinery to produce renewable fuels.
- India Oil Corporation and Praj Industries announced a JV to produce SAF in India.
- Wizz Air announced a $6 million investment in SAF producer, Firefly, to supply its U.K. operations starting in 2028.
- Lakeview RNG, a subsidiary of NEXT Renewable Fuels, acquired the assets of the failed Red Rock Biofuels project in Oregon.
- The Washington State Legislature set aside $6.5 million in its 2023-2025 transportation budget to build a SAF research and development center.
- The European Commission launched the ReFuelEU Aviation proposal, which aims to decarbonize aviation with rules targeting jet fuel suppliers, airlines, and airports.
