The Methanol Institute (MI) commissioned ADI to prepare a study on the economic and employment impacts of the U.S. methanol industry.
The study concluded that the availability of abundant and cheap shale gas supplies significantly advantages domestic production of methanol in the U.S. Any investments in new methanol production capacity could create a significant economic ripple effect through capital spending and job creation, benefiting local economies, particularly in states like Texas and Louisiana. Methanol itself is a versatile product with a wide variety of applications, ranging from its traditional uses as a solvent and chemical feedstock to its growing uses as a transportation fuel.
Download the full study to gain deep, data-driven insights into the projected economic and employment contributions of the methanol industry through 2020 and position your organization for the future.
