Can innovation help reduce flaring?

At the April 2015 DUG Bakken and Niobrara Conference in Denver, ADI Analytics CEO Uday Turaga spoke on a panel about the Bakken’s future. His presentation, “Can Innovation Help Reduce Flaring?”, explored how the Bakken’s rapid growth made gas flaring a major regulatory concern.

Turaga’s presentation delved into solutions that faced commercial hurdles due to issues with pricing, infrastructure, and scale. He also discussed viable alternatives to flaring, such as gas-to-power technologies. Furthermore, the presentation highlighted the promising, though currently limited, application of virtual pipelines.
