Here are the latest highlights from ADI’s SAF Tracker:
- Google signed a three-year SAFc agreement with American Airlines to support the purchase of 35 million gallons of SAF supplied by Valero to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
- Syzygy Plasmonics signed a capacity reservation agreement with World Fuel Services for expected SAF produced at its planned commercial-scale NovaSAF TM facilities in Latin America.
- JetBio announced plans to invest $2 billion to build a 254 million gallons per year AtJ SAF facility in Paulínia, Brazil, with operations expected to begin in 2030.
- Twelve commenced commercial operations at AirPlant One, which will initially produce 55,000 gallons per year of eSAF and supply to Alaska Airlines.
- Agency (ARENA), Qantas, and Boeing, with over $2.4 million in combined funding to support seven SAF and other low-carbon fuels projects across Australia.
- HutanBio signed an MoU with Wakud International in Oman to support algae-derived oil feedstocks for SAF and other sustainable fuels.
- Firefly signed a partnership agreement with Altaca to deploy CatLiq hydrothermal liquefaction technology at its planned UK SAF facility, converting sewage sludge into bio-crude for upgrading into SAF.
- IATA and ICAO agreed to deepen cooperation on SAF tracking and reporting to improve transparency, integrity, and data quality across SAF production, distribution, and use.
