December updates from ADI’s SAF Tracker highlight steady global progress in sustainable aviation fuel adoption. Brazil reached a milestone by offering SAF for regular flights, while India advanced domestic production with the launch of a HEFA SAF demonstration plant.

Project development also moved forward in Europe and North America, with companies advancing woody biomass-to-SAF facilities aimed at supporting the forestry sector. In South America, Uruguay’s state-owned energy company selected a technology partner for a SAF and renewable diesel project. On the policy front, the UK is reassessing crop-derived SAF eligibility, while Thailand implemented the first phase of its national SAF blending mandate.
