Phillips 66’s strategy for green energy transformation

At the 2022 ADI Forum, Heath DePriest, VP of Emerging Energy at Phillips 66, outlined the company’s green energy vision during the Energy Transition panel, moderated by Uday Turaga, CEO of ADI Analytics. DePriest discussed Phillips 66’s strategic investments in both the molecule and electron sides of energy transition, including electrification, EV charging, battery technology, and renewable fuels. The company had worked to secure essential feedstocks for sustainable solutions while transforming its refineries to produce renewable fuels, reinforcing its commitment to low-carbon energy.

Phillips 66 had also explored carbon capture initiatives and key partnerships to accelerate energy transition progress, including investments in Novonix and involvement in European hydrogen projects. DePriest emphasized that these efforts positioned Phillips 66 as a leader in critical supply chains, ensuring continued innovation and sustainability in the evolving energy landscape.
