In the August 2020 edition of the ADI chemicals newsletter, we explored key developments shaping the global chemical industry amidst a slowing economy and ongoing trade uncertainties.

In the Americas, Odfjell Terminals supported Styrolution’s ASA plant, while DuPont acquired Evaqua’s Memcor water treatment business. Europe saw significant investments, including Nouryon’s expansion in Sweden and BASF’s collaboration on chemical recycling. In Asia-Pacific, OCI and Adnoc merged to create Fertiglobe. Globally, Azelis strengthened its position in Africa and the Middle East with the acquisition of Orkila.
