During the 2019 ADI Forum, Dave Marchese, CEO, Caliche Development Partners, Jennifer Jewson, Director of NA Feedstocks, LyondellBasell, and Angela John, Director of Structured Products, BP, shared their insights on the frac and storage capacity outlook in a panel moderated by Brandon Johnson, Project Manager, ADI Analytics. The panelists discussed the challenges in the energy industry as Permian production exceeds forecasts, causing volatility and storage problems. They explored how midstream and gas processing plants have expanded more rapidly than anticipated, resulting in an excess of y-grade products. Despite consistent supply, storage demand is constrained, particularly as the U.S. transition from a propane importer to the world’s largest LPG exporter has altered the need for propane storage. The conversation underscored how these shifts are reshaping the global energy landscape.
