During a panel at the 2019 ADI Forum, moderated by Uday Turaga, CEO, ADI Analytics, James Reddinger, CEO, Stabilis Energy, offered his insights on the evolving LNG market. He highlighted the increasing growth in segments focusing on large-scale consumers such as ships, trains, and power production, noting that while transportation has been a traditional target, significant opportunities exist in burner tip applications and high-consumption industries. Reddinger also discussed the difficulties smaller customers face in sourcing LNG from world-scale facilities due to regulatory, permitting, and economic hurdles, suggesting that smaller-scale LNG solutions are often more suitable and emphasizing the need for more flexible and accessible LNG infrastructure. This discussion at ADI’s annual oil and gas conference illuminated the changing dynamics within the LNG industry and the crucial role of infrastructure in meeting evolving market demands.
