Uday Turaga, CEO of ADI Analytics was quoted in Marketplace on the issue where some see energy in the abandoned wells.
Drawing from ADI Analytics’ research and deep expertise gained through numerous consulting engagements across oil and gas value chains, Turaga commented:
“Oil and gas project developers are saying why should not I go and continue drilling for oil and gas. A hydrofracturing boom is keeping oil and gas prices low. There is uncertainty around renewable energy incentives and many investors are staying away from geothermal.
The interest is fairly low… someone has to do it on a commercial scale for the first time.”
