January 5, 2010- ADI Analytics’ article titled, “Why is India not in the play for big oil?” was featured in Business Line, India’s leading business newspaper. The article talked about the reason why oil majors has stayed away from accessing and exploring oil and gas in India, which has to do more with their business strategy rather than the country’s New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP).
Founder and CEO of ADI Analytics, Uday Turaga outlined several successes that came from the New Exploration Licensing Policy including promoting investments in the oil and gas industry in India, new oil and gas discoveries, investments into these new discoveries, and increased hydrocarbon reserves due to these discoveries and investments.
The article went into depth to talk about the three reasons why these successes were possible. For example, governmental policies set up within NELP, declaring investment-friendly incentives, transparent bidding process, and NELP marketing advances.
