ADI Analytics guided a client seeking to expand their waste plastics pyrolysis business by identifying several locations across the U.S. best fit for large-scale facilities. Key contributions included the following:
- Evaluated an initial list of 24 states regulating chemical recycling plants as manufacturing facilities based on residential recycling, presence of major plastic scrap producing industries, and a high-level policy and regulatory assessment, narrowing down to 10 target states
- Assessed target states by diving deep into sourcing of plastic waste from material recovery facilities (MRFs) and industrial facilities, identifying the largest suppliers of plastic waste within each state
- Recommended several locations best fit for locating large-scale advanced plastics recycling facilities based on our assessments and insights from ADI’s previous work
