North American shale gas is an unequivocal success story. Starting from one percent of all natural gas supply in 2000 to more than one-third in 2012 no other form of energy has capture market share as rapidly as shale gas has in history. Even so, the industry faces a number of challenges across the value chain including exploration, drilling, completions, environmental footprint, and gas monetization. Assessing such issues is the subject of ADI Analytics’ multi-client study, Innovation Needs in Shale Gas.
Specific objectives include the following:
- Understand the shale gas and unconventional resource value chain
- Define innovation and technology gaps through primary research
- Identify promising practices and technologies to address gaps
- Evaluate competitiveness of approaches to fill gaps / needs
Deliverables include a 50-page final report and a 4-hour client workshop.
