October 2015- The Innovations in Production Enhancement conference was a two-day event during October 20-21, 2015, held at the JW Marriott in Houston, TX. The event was set up for those who want to gain more insight on how to deal with oil and gas production challenges and seek solutions for them, especially in a low-price environment.
ADI Analytics CEO, Uday Turaga joined the event and presented on, 'Technology Gaps and Operator Needs in Oil & Gas Production Facilities' He also had the opportunity to join a roundtable discussion to further talk through challenges and brainstorm solutions.
Key messages from the presentation included: first, demonstrating how the markets had dropped 20% to 30% in 2015 and is expected to drop more given the outlook for commodity prices. Second, oil and gas operators have continued to be interested in new procurement models to meet schedules and cost goals. Third, regulatory pressure along with other factors is driving interest in new technologies to reduce natural gas flaring and increase natural gas consumption at well sites. Lastly, oil and gas operators have many unmet needs and pain points providing opportunities for incumbents or new entrants in the production facilities market.
ADI continues to track the market for oilfield equipment and services across the oil and gas value chain from the well head to delivery to gas processing plants. From gathering inputs from operating, equipment, and service companies, ADI was able to use expertise in market sizing to deliver these results.
