December 2013- Presenting on the North American Success Story for unconventionals in the Middle East, ADI Analytics outlined three major key messages.
First, the North American shale gas revolution is indeed real, sustainable, and a game changer. Second, the development of unconventional resources outside North America will be challenging and will require a new mindset of thinking differently strategically, operationally, and technically. Lastly, technology and innovation have helped North American players reduce costs and those innovations will be critical globally, specifically to reduce costs. Some of the technological advances needed to reduce costs include advanced drilling, engineering system optimization, and environment-friendly drilling muds and fracking fluids. Overall, this will significantly help shale gas gain advantages for the U.S. and allow North American players to transition from gas to liquids, NGLs, and oil.
