May 2019- ADI Analytics presented a 46-page report at CISTAR CISTAR – Center for Innovative and Strategic Transformation of Alkane Resources assessing the current state of shale oil and gas and providing an outlook through 2030. The report also evaluated drilling and completion costs and economics, threats and opportunities, and technological innovation.
The presentation expressed the repositioning of the U.S. as a major energy producer for oil, gas, and NGL production. Along with this, E&P operators have taken initiatives to reduce costs from exploration, drilling, completions, and production. Monetization of gas has been accomplished mainly through LNG exports. Furthermore, although small-scale GTL sounds promising, more innovation is still needed that is cost-effective and offers small-scale solutions.
