December 2, 2018- The Egypt Refineries Modernization Reverse Trade Mission was held in both, Washington, D.C. and Houston, TX from December 2-13, 2018. This event was organized to help U.S. companies win the procurement contracts associated with Egypt’s plan to upgrade its oil refineries and modernizing its petroleum ports. ADI Analytics had the pleasure to take part in this mission with an elaborate presentation on, “U.S. Refining Market Overview.”
The presentation began by addressing the U.S. refining footprint, demonstrating how petroleum refineries are distributed in the U.S. with a strong level of concentration on the Gulf Coast. Next, the presentation discussed short-term outlooks for capturing high crude discounts and export fuel demand. Third, the presentation spoke on several leading refiners in the North American market such as Valero, Chevron, Citgo, among others who show promising growth opportunities.
