At the 2023 ADI Forum, Amy C. Davis, VP, Energy Transfer, Lake Charles LNG,  explored the evolving landscape of midstream infrastructure. A few years ago, there was a feeling of market sufficiency in natural gas and little support for new LNG export projects reaching the Final Investment Decision (FID). Now, there was a strong interest in getting into LNG, similar to both their company and independent projects.

Regarding construction, Energy Transfer had experience with large-scale projects. They were familiar with cryogenic facilities, as they were a major ethane exporter, which involved similar low-temperature processing. The LNG industry heavily relied on qualified contractors, with the project owner playing their part.
