It also addressed decarbonizing shipping. While state-level ICE bans are unlikely to be effective, EV incentives are key. Despite their complex conditions, EV incentives play a crucial role.
For sustainable aviation fuel, alcohol-to-jet technology is preferred for its scalability over Fischer-Tropsch. However, diverse feedstock sourcing remains a challenge. The role of nuclear power and the impact of low-carbon fuel standard credits were also discussed. The consensus emphasized the need for a clear carbon price. This is essential to drive global adoption of carbon capture and utilization, and other decarbonization solutions.
