At the 2024 ADI Forum, Joseph Gentry, VP, Licensing, GTC Vorro; Kendall Puig, Manager, NGL, Antero Resources; and Richard Barber, Key Account Manager, INNIO Waukesha, joined the midstream & NGL panel. They discussed the current state of the natural gas and NGL market, focusing on the Permian Basin, Appalachia, and NGL exports. They noted current pipeline sufficiency but projected future needs for Permian and Haynesville growth. NGL exports were surging, driven by global petrochemical demand. However, dock capacity and market absorption are growing concerns.

The conversation also touched on sulfur removal technologies for natural gas. Waukesha’s gas engines support upstream and midstream compression with high fuel flexibility and low methane emissions. The panel discussed sulfur removal technologies and low-emission gas engines enabling the industry’s shift from diesel. EPA regulations and methane reduction efforts were central to the conversation.
