They discussed how a significant amount of investment capital is currently seeking ESG energy transition investments. The popular ones included green strategies and energy transition plays. ESG investments made it easier for businesses aligned with these themes to raise capital. Some investors actively prioritizing ESG-focused ventures include private equity firms, banks, non-regulated lenders, and family offices, as these investors actively prioritized ESG-focused ventures.
Conversely, industries deemed “unpopular” or lacking ESG appeal faced substantial challenges in securing investment, including traditional oil and gas drilling. Companies in these circumstances often struggled to raise the necessary capital. This indicated a clear divergence in investor appetite based on ESG energy transition investments and social responsibility criteria.
