At the 2022 ADI Forum (formerly FlexPO+), Jose Mendez, Global Business Director, SK Geo Centric, joined the specialty and performance polymers panel and discussed the growing importance of sustainability in various sectors, including packaging, automotive, water, building and construction, and more. He said that sustainability was identified as a primary driver for polymer growth across diverse sectors, including packaging, automotive, recycling, water and cable, and building and construction.
Mendez emphasized a double-digit market growth, particularly in areas like paper coating, driven by its recyclability and the application of their chemistry technology in emulsions and dispersions. Beyond traditional uses, he said that batteries and solar panels represented growing applications.
